StorePinger / Abandoned Cart Recovery
Recover abandoned carts in your ecommerce store on autopilot.
About 7 in 10 shoppers leave before paying, and most stores never follow up. StorePinger saves the cart the moment they type their email, then sends up to three friendly reminders with a one-click link back to checkout.

The problem
Your ecommerce store gets the traffic, but loses the sale at the last step.
Shoppers drop off before paying
Shipping costs, a distraction, a second thought. The documented average cart abandonment rate is about 70% (Baymard Institute).
Your store doesn't tell you who left
Incomplete checkouts are not orders, so your store has no record of them and nobody follows up.
The window closes fast
A reminder a few hours later, while the product is still on their mind, is far more useful than one a week later.
Separate tools don't talk
A recovery plugin that can't see your analytics can't tell you which source or city your recovered sales came from. StorePinger can.
How it works
How ecommerce store cart recovery works
The email is saved as it is typed
Works on the classic and the block checkout, for guests and logged-in customers. Cart items, total and name are saved with it.
Up to 3 emails, on your schedule
Default timing is 3 hours, 24 hours and 3 days. Change the timing, subject and message of each one, or switch any off.
One click back to checkout
The button refills the cart, fills in the email and opens checkout. A coupon on the last email applies itself.
A nudge when the new budget arrives
Between the 3rd and 8th of the month, shoppers whose cart from last month is still waiting get one friendly reminder, with an optional coupon.
Recovered revenue, measured
Orders that follow a reminder are marked “Recovered” with their value, and noted on the order.
Emails that look like your store
Your logo, your colors, your words.
Reminder emails use your store name, logo and store email color. They show product photos, quantities and the cart total, so the shopper remembers exactly what they wanted.
- Editable subject and message for each email, with {name} and {store}
- Product images, prices and cart total added automatically
- Optional coupon on the third email only
- Send yourself a test email before going live

Unsubscribe from cart reminders
Respectful by design
Reminders people don’t hate.
Every email has an unsubscribe link. Shoppers who already ordered, even on another device, get nothing. Staff and admins are never tracked.
- No email if the customer has since ordered
- Unsubscribe in one click; reminders start again only if they come back and add to cart
- One cart per shopper, so no duplicate emails
- Optional privacy note under the checkout email field
More than recovery
Most recovery plugins only see the cart. StorePinger sees the shopper.

The money on the table
What abandoned carts cost a typical store
Here is the math for a store with 400 checkouts a month. Put in your own numbers and the result is usually the same: the money is already there.
| A store with 400 checkouts a month | Per month |
|---|---|
| Shoppers who start checkout | 400 |
| Carts left behind (about 70%) | 280 |
| Carts with an email saved | 120 |
| Average order value | $60 |
| Money waiting in those carts | $7,200 |
| If reminders bring back 1 in 10 | $720 a month, $8,640 a year |
The plan for one store costs less than one recovered order a month.

Abandoned cart email best practices
Practical rules that work for any ecommerce store, with or without StorePinger.
Send three emails
A reminder after a few hours, a follow-up the next day and a last one after about three days is a proven rhythm. More rarely helps and annoys people.
Send the first one fast
Interest fades within hours. The first reminder works best while the shopper still remembers the product.
Write subject lines that sound human
“You left something in your cart”, “Still thinking it over?” and “Your cart is about to expire” beat clever wordplay. Keep them short and honest.
Show the products
Photos, names and the total remind shoppers exactly what they wanted. A one-click button back to the filled cart removes effort.
Save the discount for last
Offer a coupon only on the final email, so you don’t train shoppers to abandon carts for a discount.
Answer the real objection
Mention free returns, delivery times or a way to ask a question. Many carts are left because of doubt, not price.
Stop when they buy
Never remind someone who already ordered. It looks careless and costs trust.
Treat them as marketing
In many countries cart reminders count as marketing emails: include an unsubscribe link and respect it.
Measure recovered revenue
Opens and clicks are nice. The number that matters is the money from orders that came back.
FAQ
Questions store owners ask
Are abandoned cart emails transactional?
Usually not. Because they encourage a purchase, most email rules treat them as marketing. StorePinger adds an unsubscribe link to every reminder and stops emailing anyone who unsubscribes.
What is a good abandoned cart recovery rate?
It varies widely by store and product. Measure your own: StorePinger shows how many reminded carts turned into orders and how much revenue they brought.
What are the best abandoned cart email subject lines?
Short, clear and personal ones, such as “You left something in your cart” or “Still deciding, {name}?”. Avoid all capitals and spammy words. You can edit every subject in StorePinger.
How do I see abandoned carts in my online store?
Most stores can’t list them. With StorePinger, open Highlights for the abandoned carts card, or All Reports → Cart Recovery for every captured cart with its email, value, status and emails sent.
How many abandoned cart emails should I send?
Three is a common choice: a quick reminder a few hours later, a follow-up the next day and a last one after about three days. StorePinger uses that schedule by default, adds one month-start reminder between the 3rd and 8th, and you can change all of it.
Can I send emails to guest shoppers?
Yes. The email is saved from the checkout form as the shopper types it, so guests are included.
Are abandoned cart emails allowed under privacy laws?
They are generally treated as marketing in many regions. StorePinger includes an unsubscribe link in every email and an optional note under the checkout email field. Check the rules that apply to your store.
Will the emails land in spam?
They are sent through your site’s normal email. For best delivery, use an SMTP service such as your host’s email, Brevo or Amazon SES with a plugin like WP Mail SMTP.
Which plan includes cart recovery?
Pro ($49.99 a year) and Agency.
Every cart you don’t follow up on is a sale someone else gets.
Turn on cart recovery in minutes. It runs every day after that.
