How to generate llms.txt

Name and one clear sentence: what you sell or do, and for whom.
Best sellers, categories, shipping, returns, about. Ten good links beat a hundred weak ones.

Say what you sell
One plain sentence in the summary. “Organic skincare for sensitive skin, shipped across Europe” beats a slogan.
Link your best pages
Top products and categories with a short description each. These are the pages you want an assistant to recommend.
Answer buyer questions
Shipping, returns, sizing and payment pages. Assistants are often asked exactly these questions.
Keep it current
Remove sold-out products and update prices pages. An outdated file is worse than a short one.
Skip the noise
No login, cart, checkout or tag pages. Only pages a shopper would want to read.
Be honest about limits
llms.txt is a proposal, not a rule. Some AI tools read it, and search engines may ignore it. Treat it as a small, cheap signal.
