StorePinger / Privacy policy

Privacy policy

How StorePinger protects your information, on our websites, in our plugins and in our mobile app.

Who we are

StorePinger is an ecommerce analytics product operated by Hafiz Abdul Aleem Shakir, Pakistan (“StorePinger”, “we”, “us”). StorePinger is developed by Everon Digital. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit storepinger.com, create an account at account.storepinger.com, buy a plan, use the StorePinger WordPress plugins, or use the StorePinger mobile app for iPhone and Android.

We collect only what we need to provide StorePinger, we never sell personal information, and we never use it for third-party advertising.

What this policy covers

  • Our websites: storepinger.com and account.storepinger.com.
  • Our services: accounts, licenses, purchases, updates and support.
  • Our software: the free StorePinger plugin (including the version on WordPress.org), StorePinger Pro and Agency, and the StorePinger mobile app on Google Play and the App Store.

When a store uses StorePinger, the store owner decides how their visitors’ data is used. That store’s own privacy policy applies to its visitors (see The StorePinger plugin and your store).

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details: your name, email address, password (stored only in encrypted form), your store website address, and, if you choose to tell us, how you heard about StorePinger.
  • Sign in with Google: if you choose it, Google shares your name, email address and Google account ID with us. We do not receive your Google password.
  • Two-step login: if you turn it on, we store the secret your authenticator app uses, in protected form.
  • Purchases: the plan you buy, your license keys, and the details our reseller Paddle shares with us to deliver your order (name, email, country, order and subscription references).
  • Support: what you send us by email, WhatsApp or the contact form.
  • Preferences: whether you want product updates, tips and offers.

Information collected automatically

  • Website use: standard server information such as browser type, pages requested and the date and time of a request, used to run and protect our websites.
  • License and update checks: when StorePinger Pro or Agency checks a license or an update, it sends the license key, the site address and the plugin version. This is needed to activate the license and deliver updates.
  • Security information: sign-in attempts and the network address they come from, used only to protect accounts.

How we use information

  • To create and run your account, and to let you sign in securely.
  • To deliver your plan: license keys, activations, downloads, updates and receipts.
  • To provide support and answer your questions.
  • To send service emails, such as email confirmation, password reset, security alerts, license and billing messages.
  • To send product updates, tips and offers, only if you said yes. You can stop them at any time.
  • To keep StorePinger safe, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet our legal obligations.
  • To improve StorePinger, using information about how our websites and services are used.

Where data protection laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply, we process personal information because it is needed to provide the service you asked for (contract), because you agreed to it (consent, for example product emails), because we have a legitimate interest in running, protecting and improving StorePinger, or because the law requires it.

Payments

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle collects and processes your payment details under Paddle’s privacy policy. We never receive or store your full card number.

The StorePinger plugin and your store

StorePinger is installed on your own WordPress website. The analytics, visitor, cart, campaign and recording data it collects is stored in your own website’s database and hosting, not on StorePinger’s servers. For that data, you, the store owner, are the controller and decide how it is used, and StorePinger does not have access to it.

  • Visitors: the plugin can record pages viewed, where a visit came from, device type, and an approximate location (country, and in Pro, city and area). IP addresses are used only for a moment to find the location and are not stored.
  • Session recordings (Pro): form fields are hidden automatically and recordings stay on your own site.
  • Cart recovery and email marketing (Pro): emails are sent from your own store to your own customers and contacts, with an unsubscribe link in every campaign email.
  • Your obligations: as the store owner you are responsible for telling your visitors about analytics in your own privacy policy and for getting any consent your laws require. The plugin adds suggested text to WordPress → Settings → Privacy to help you.

The free plugin only counts visits and their countries, sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses and deletes visits after 48 hours. See the StorePinger plugin privacy notice.

The StorePinger mobile app

The app lets store owners see their own store data on iPhone and Android.

  • Store connection: when you connect a store, the app saves the store address and a private connection key on your phone. Your store data is shown directly from your own store.
  • Notifications: if you allow notifications, a device notification token is shared with your store and with our notification service, so your store can send you alerts. It is used only for that. Instant notifications that pass through our notification service carry only a short note, such as “New order $120” or “New visitor”. Customer names, emails, cities and order details are not included; the app loads them directly from your store.
  • App lock: fingerprint and face unlock are handled by your phone. We never receive biometric data.
  • No ads and no tracking: the app shows no advertising, does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not sell or share data for advertising.
  • Removing data: disconnecting a store or uninstalling the app removes its data from your phone. Store owners can disconnect all phones at any time from StorePinger’s settings in WordPress.

For app store “data safety” and “privacy” labels: the app collects no data for tracking, and data it handles is used only for app functionality and is protected in transit.

Emails

We send service emails that you need to use StorePinger. Product updates, tips and offers are sent only if you opted in, and every one includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also write to support@storepinger.com at any time.

Cookies

Our websites use only the cookies needed to sign you in, keep your session secure and protect forms against abuse. We do not use advertising cookies. See our cookie policy.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only with trusted providers that help us run StorePinger, under agreements that protect your information, and only for these purposes:

  • Paddle, our reseller and Merchant of Record, for checkout, payments, taxes, invoices and refunds.
  • Hosting and email providers, to run our websites and deliver our emails.
  • Google, if you choose “Continue with Google”, and to keep sign-in forms protected from automated abuse.
  • Cloudflare, to protect our sign-in and sign-up forms from bots.
  • Apple and Google, to deliver push notifications to the mobile app, and to distribute the app through the App Store and Google Play.
  • WordPress.org, which hosts the free plugin and its updates under its own privacy policy.
  • Authorities, only when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and of StorePinger.

If StorePinger is ever involved in a merger or sale, personal information may be transferred as part of it, and this policy will continue to protect it.

International transfers

StorePinger serves customers worldwide, so information may be processed in countries other than your own. When we transfer personal information, we use recognised safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep information

  • Account information: while your account is open, and for a short time after you close it.
  • Purchase and invoice records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
  • Support messages: as long as needed to help you and improve our support.
  • Security records: for a limited time, to protect accounts.

Security

We protect your information with industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections, encrypted passwords, optional two-step login, protection against automated attacks, and strict access controls. Every StorePinger update is verified before it installs.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, download or delete your personal information, object to or limit how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct their information and to not be discriminated against for using these rights; we do not sell or share personal information as defined by California law. To use any of these rights, contact support@storepinger.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Deleting your account and data

You can ask us to delete your StorePinger account and its data at any time:

  1. Email support@storepinger.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”.
  2. We confirm the request and delete your account, licenses and personal information within 30 days.
  3. We keep only what the law requires us to keep, such as invoices.

This applies to accounts used on our websites and in the mobile app. To remove app data from your phone, disconnect your store in the app or uninstall it.

Children

StorePinger is a business tool and is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as StorePinger grows. If a change is important, we will tell you by email or on our website before it applies.
